Mad Science Evening!

On Friday April 27th Year 1 hosted a very special Mad Science Evening after school had finished for the week and all the other children had gone home. It was very exciting to be the only ones left in the school! There were lots of messy, fun activities to do over the course of the evening. These included experimenting with air pressure to create jumping tin cans, mixing a range of weird and wonderful substances to create our very own potions, blowing up balloons using just vinegar and baking powder - plus many, many more...

Throughout the evening there were also a few 'science alerts' which meant that all the children had to rush to the outside area and stand behind the safety line for some slightly more risky and daring science experiments performed by the teachers. It was a brilliant night and we raised over £300 which will go towards funding some new equipment for the outside area.
